UPCOMING EXHIBITION

Arsenal of Femininity
Curated by Anastassia RX
Exhibition Statement
“Arsenal of Femininity” is a group show that examines how women’s bodies, their identities, and lives are continuously politicized, regulated, consumed, and contested. Across cultures and histories, womanhood has functioned as a symbol, battleground, labor source, moral measure, and political currency. The works gathered here confront the systems that discipline, surveil, and weaponize women’s existence while also revealing the resilience, rage, intimacy, and autonomy that persist within and against them.
To exist as a woman is not presented as neutral, but as a condition shaped by power, expectation, resistance, and survival. The artists in this exhibition expose the ways institutions, traditions, media, religion, labor, and law attempt to define and control women’s bodies and identities, while simultaneously reclaiming space for self-definition and agency. This exhibition moves between vulnerability and defiance, private experience and public struggle, tracing how personal lives become political terrain. Rather than offering a singular narrative of womanhood, the works insist on complexity versus tenderness alongside violence versus visibility alongside erasure versus oppression. Together, they ask what it means to live under constant negotiation and what forms of resistance, care, and transformation emerge in response.
